FESPACO 2011: AFRICAN CINEMA AND MARKET
The panafrican festival of cinema and television (Fespaco) 2011, the 22nd edition with the theme: African cinema and market, has gone to an end last saturday 5th march 2011 at Ouagadougou the capital town of Burkina faso.
Started on the 26th february 2011 and within a week, professionals of the movies indutries, films fans and the population all really enjoyed this event which seems to be the most popular film melting point in the world.
Among the 18 feature films and 13 shorts in the official competition of this year, the choice of the best films has not been easy at all.
Finally the film « Pegase » of Mohamed Mouftakir of Morocco has been selected for the « Etalon d’Or » the prize given to the best film during the biennal event.
All the best to africans and passions of african movies, and congratulation to togolese films makers who also were present at the Fespaco.
Fespaco 2011 is over!!! Let’s hope the best for the 23 edition due from 23rd february to 2nd march 2013.
